1. The first step is to ascertain if a Preparation of Part Development Plan (PDP) had been prepared. If not, (Prepared by physical planners at the county level and approved by the Director of physical planning at the National level.)
2. A survey would then follow where a cadastral file which also includes a survey plan are prepared and submitted to the Director of surveys at Survey of Kenya for Authentication. Checking fees are also payable at this stage.
3. The next step is indenting by the Director of Land Administration just to confirm the survey has no overlaps.
4.Deed plans are then prepared and approved by the Director of surveys which now become the registrable instruments that an Advocate can use to request the Director land Administration to prepare a lease document.
5. After the lease document is executed, it is then registered at the land registry where that land is situated and a certificate of lease (title )is registered and issued.
